I’ve made it halfway through Eureka Seven.

Yes, I’m back on the internet.

Of course, most of the internet has been spent catching up on J-pop and planning my trip to the Japans. I’m going to challenge myself to take at least 2000 photos while I’m there.

In the meantime, have some Pengin, while I go watch Eureka Seven and do things that are probably less important than what I could be doing:

Internet is still down.
I don’t know when my car will be fixed.
Now begins my descent into becoming a hikikomori.

1. I lose track of every single blog. And then people ask, “did you read my blog?”. and the answer is of course, no.

2. Japanese music still happens, whether I’m there or not. For all I know, Arashi died in a plane crasah.

3. I lose nearly all my Japanese study materials.

4. When I come back, facebook, twitter, and myspace will all still be there.

5. I can’t create/reply to more serious e-mails immediately, and then everyone thinks I’m rude/a dick/whatever.

Also, I had a shitty day at work today. Fuck everything.

Because the best time for this to happen is when you’re trying to plan a trip to Japan, my internet is down. -_- e-mail me if you need to get a hold of me; my phone will receive it.

So one of the funnier things that happened in Japan last week was the incident involving Hey!Say!Jump’s Morimoto. Let me paraphrase the incident:

“A 17-year old boy who was a fan of HSJ’s Ryutaro Morimoto had been stalking him. After Morimoto met him at a restaurant to tell him to stop, the boy threatened him with a knife, and shortly after stole Morimoto’s cell phone. The boy was later found and arrested.”

I mean, seriously? You’re stalking a member of fucking Hey Say Jump!? What the hell? You can’t stalk a REAL Johnny? Kimutaku? Nakai? Matsujun? Hell, even Yamapi’s a step up from freakin’ HSJ! This dude must be an attention whore or really dumb, or has bad taste.

How I wish I could be at Metrocon this weekend.

Not because I like the con – in fact, I think it’s the worst con ever – but because I wish I could see the meltdown that’s sure to take place. All because Mr. Metrocon knocked up a minor. (BTW, this girl’s video description is gold.)

Aside from the fact that everyone who knew him saw this coming a mile away, this is probably going to be the death rattle that will end Metrocon once and for all. Not that Metrocon has ever been run well, but without him at the helm, I’m sure it’ll die a pretty unflattering death.

And while I would never encourage anyone to support Twitter, we should all at least look at this throughout the day. Because someone’s going to notice the meltdown. SOMEONE WILL.

Ah schadenfreude, my good friend…

For this first time this summer, I didn’t sleep well last night. I think maybe I should go to bed early tonight as a result.

I’m studying Japanese at the moment. Even though I should be studying grammar, I’m doing kanji. As usual, it seems. So I should kill my guilty thoughts and switch to grammar. I don’t have that many more grammar points to go anyway…

So yesterday I went to Disneyland the library at Emory to check some books out, 1 being for a friend to help him study Japanese.

As I was driving back, I had the most asinine epiphany ever: “Teachers don’t necessarily teach out of the books; sometimes they choose textbooks that contain the things they want to teach.” This is really something I should’ve realized at a much earlier point in my life.

Also, today my friend Kim is having a party to celebrate her getting into graduate school. Sorry I can’t be there~!! Work and all… -_-
